Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can I expect in a typical ADHD treatment session?

Although you may have been diagnosed with ADHD, you've probably not had anyone explain what it actually means and that it affects everyone differently. We will start your ADHD treatment by breaking down the different ways ADHD affects you as an individual so you have a greater understanding of your brain and how it works. We will then help you develop the skills to improve your focus, regulate your emotions, manage your time, and build your self-confidence.

ADHD counselling also provides a compassionate and supportive space for you to delve into deeper issues connected to ADHD, like struggles with self-esteem or anxiety, and find effective solutions.

Q: Is ADHD therapy only helpful for kids?

We offer comprehensive ADHD therapy for adults and teens. Our specialized ADHD treatment addresses the unique needs of different age groups, helping you manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life. Whether you are an adult seeking better focus and organization or a teen needing support with school and daily activities, we are here to help you thrive.

Q: Do I need a diagnosis to meet with your ADHD therapist? How do I know if I have ADHD?

You do not need a formal diagnosis of ADHD to schedule an appointment with us. If you're experiencing symptoms like difficulty focusing, impulsivity, or disorganization, it may be worth exploring further. During our sessions, we'll discuss your concerns and experiences to determine the most appropriate course of action, which may include seeking a formal assessment from a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Q: Where do you offer ADHD therapy?

Although our ADHD clinic is based in Toronto, we offer online ADHD therapy to make treatment more accessible to people all over Ontario.

Q: What is the fee for an ADHD therapy session?

A 50-minute session is $155.
