Charlotte MacLean, M.A.

Registered Psychotherapist

I support youth, adults, and couples facing challenges like ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, substance use, and relationship issues. My therapy style is practical and collaborative. Together, we explore what might be causing current issues and develop tools you can use in daily life. I help clients manage attention and executive functioning, handle emotions, question unhelpful thoughts, boost motivation, develop healthier coping skills, and build a kinder relationship with themselves and their bodies.

I also offer couples therapy and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. I help clients work through communication problems, conflict, intimacy issues, life changes, identity questions, and relationship shifts. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and tailored to each person. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, keeping in mind that everyone’s experiences and goals are unique. My goal is to help you understand yourself better, build stronger relationships, and make lasting, meaningful changes.

What It's Like to Work With Charlotte

During sessions, I like to create a warm, friendly, and non-judgmental space where you can come just as you are. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply want to better understand yourself, I will meet you right where you are.

I take an open, collaborative, and person-centred approach because I believe you know your own life best, and my job is to work with you rather than tell you how to live it. Together, we’ll explore what is happening, identify what you need, and create practical tools and strategies that suit you. Therapy may involve reflection and deeper exploration, but also laughter and celebrating the little successes along the way. Most importantly, I want you to feel heard, respected, understood, and safe enough to be yourself.

Outside of Work

When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling, discovering new places, and trying new things. I also enjoy cooking or baking, especially when I can share good food with people I care about. If I’m not planning a trip or testing a new recipe, I’m probably outside, getting some fresh air, or spending time with friends and family. I think it’s important to make time for what brings us joy, helps us connect, and keeps life balanced beyond our work and other responsibilities.

We're ready when you are.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you know exactly what you need or you're still finding the words, this is a good place to start.
